I grew up in a small town in Illinois with a deep love for animals, especially those without a voice. That value has guided every chapter of my life, even as my career has taken a few unexpected turns.
I earned an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and began my career as a software engineer and consultant. Over time, I realized that while I enjoyed solving complex problems, I wanted my work to feel more connected to service and advocacy.
That shift led me to nonprofit work in Los Angeles, where I founded an organization focused on empowering foster youth and partnered closely with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. Later, I followed another lifelong passion into the veterinary field, where I spent the past decade working alongside veterinarians, rescues and government animal shelters.
By working in field sales for large veterinary organizations, I found a practical way to make a difference, helping clinics and shelters access critical resources, and supporting rescue organizations in getting more care to more animals. One of the most meaningful parts of my work has always been advocating for shelters and rescues, especially when budgets are tight and the stakes are high. While my roles have evolved, my commitment has not. I remain a lifelong advocate for animals and for the people and organizations who care for them every day.
